We exclusively use organic European flax that is grown in the so-called "flax belt"—an area that runs through France,Belgium, and The Netherlands that is the native habitat for flax and provides the ideal conditions for growing high quality, sustainable flax for linen.
All our product sare made from 100% organic European flax linen from Belgium, France, and The Netherlands.
All of our bedding is woven and hand-sewn in Guimarães in Portugal—the cradle of European quality textiles where linen craftsmanship dates back to the 1700s'. We've written about the full process from flaxseed to the finished bedding, if you're interested in learning more.
We generally recommend washing our bedding on cold and tumble dry it on low. Linen is sturdy and can handle most treatments however, but those recommendations will help extend the life of your linen bedding. Here is also a link to our washing instructions if you'd like to learn a bitmore.

Currently, we only sell the duvet covers and not the inserts themselves. We are however exploring options for producing inserts humanely and organically and look forward to introducing those soon.
We are big advocates for sleeping the Scandinavian way, which means dropping the top sheet and enjoying the simplicity and comfort of the linen duvet cover on its own. That said, we have gotten a number of requests for the flat sheets from customers who would like to have this as an option, and it's something that we're looking to add to our selection shortly.
Certainly! You can find swatches for all our products here.
We use a 165 GSM (Grams per Square Meter) thread, which we have found to perfectly balance quality, durability, and comfort.
