Not all linen is created equal. While some bedding is made from flax grown in regions that rely on heavy irrigation or intensive agricultural inputs, our bedding is crafted from traceable European flax sourced from France, Belgium, and the Netherlands — the natural home of the world’s finest linen, often referred to as the Flax Belt.
Flax grown in this region is naturally rain-fed and well suited to the local climate, producing long, strong fibers that result in linen that’s softer, smoother, and more durable over time. It’s where quality meets thoughtful sourcing — naturally.

"I greatly appreciated the very quick response and delivery time from The Modern Dane. The quality of the material and workmanship is excellent. The duvet set is so richly dyed (blue) and it is handsome on my bed. My only complaint (hence 4 stars not 5) is that the shams are a little short for a standard pillow. I would prefer if they had some kind of closure, either a fabric flap that gets folded over the pillow opening, or a button closure like the duvet has. Without this the end of the white pillow pops out and detracts from the well assembled look of the whole."
